Ahnaf Sharar, LPC-A

I help individuals navigate anxiety, trauma, and the unique challenges that often come with being a man in today’s world. Whether you’re struggling with constant worry, feeling disconnected from yourself or others, or carrying unresolved pain from the past, therapy can be a space to slow down, get grounded, and begin the work of healing and growth.

My approach is integrative and client-centered. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) to help you identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns that may be fueling anxiety or self-doubt. I also use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support you in building psychological flexibility—so you can take action toward what truly matters, even in the presence of fear or discomfort.

When processing trauma or inner conflict, I incorporate principles from Internal Family Systems (IFS), a powerful model that helps you connect with the different “parts” of yourself that may be stuck, protective, or in pain. Together, we work to bring compassion and understanding to these parts, creating more internal harmony and emotional freedom.

I support adults and adolescents from diverse backgrounds, and I am especially passionate about supporting men who may feel the pressure to “hold it all together” while silently struggling. In our work, we can explore what strength, vulnerability, and authenticity mean for you, and how to live more in alignment with your values.

Therapy is a collaborative process, and I create a space where you feel heard and empowered. My goal isn’t to “fix” you, but to help you better understand yourself, break free from limiting patterns, and move toward a life that feels more meaningful and true to who you are.

If you’re ready to take that first step, I’d be honored to join you on the path forward.

Outside of sessions, Ahnaf enjoys playing football (yes, the soccer kind!), fine-tuning a recipe for Pakistani food, or getting his hands dirty working on cars. Whether perfecting a chicken karahi or fixing up an old engine, Ahnaf finds joy in the creative process—and a little grease or spice never hurts.
